Howdy! I am a fairly recent graduate of Texas A&M University (7 years is fairly recent, right? Seems like just yesterday to me!) In my seven years of teaching, I have taught Reading Recovery, kindergarten, first, and second grade. I truly love teaching! It's amazing to see how much the kids learn each day ... and of course, every day is an adventure.
In my free time I dabble in quilting, crafting, baking, and photography, so I try and incorporate some of these fun hobbies into my classroom as often as possible. I want this to be a FUN year for the kids and I am constantly trying to find new and interesting ways to teach each concept.
I'm using this blog as a way to connect with parents and give them some insight into what we do in class each day, as well as connect with other educators to learn and share ideas.
